Cassiopeia was founded in March of 1981, in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The first units of Auxi, a super concentrated and biodegradable cleaning product, were sold on August 28th of 1981.   Since its birth, Cassiopeia’s main concern has been to care for people and nature being that it only produced biodegradable cleaners even before it became law in Brazil according to the portaria nº 874 published in 1998.

In 1986 the plantation of Aloe Vera began in Jarinu.  Because of its strong belief in caring for the environment the organic / biodynamic method of agriculture was chosen for the plantation. The plantation of the Veraloe Farm has the Demeter / Biodynamic seal from IBD (Biodynamic institute), which assures not only the best organic agricultural practices but also responsibility in social and environmental aspects. 

After clients’ requests Cassiopeia launched the first natural phyto-cosmetic in 1989  initiating the Veraloe cosmetic line composed of several products indicated for facial, bodily, and hair care.  The Veraloe line is one of the only ones in today’s market made 100% of plant origin being Aloe Vera one of its main ingredients. This line is also free of any synthetic derivatives.

Cassiopeia has been perfecting it’s formulations and in 1995 launched the BioWash line composed of a dishwashing detergent and a multi purpose cleaner.

In 1999 a line of all purpose, degreaser and detergents was developed for the use of industries and cleaning companies. 

 
In December of 2005 the BioWash line was reformulated and in 2007 became certified natural by IBD (Biodynamic Institute).

In April 2008 the Aloe Vera farm which supplies us with Aloe for most of our lines also became Rainforest Alliance certified..
